Good, Bad and Very Ugly (London Bombers)

Saturday was a lovely sunny day. My parents always come round for the day on Saturday dad potters about and mum does the gardening. As it became hotter we did less work and more lounging around.
When I removed to pool cover there were a few bits in the pool so well, water was warm and I had to go in first and clean it. Once I'd had my swim (girls could not come in as they might disturb the pool detritus LOL) the girls were free to splash and have fun.
I carried on with my doll photos and writing up the 'Doll Diorama Blog' in doing.
Again I had help with my photo shoot

Tilly is still a work in progress when it comes to going outside

Straight after the photo we covered Tilly's chair with a towel to give her extra shade. She is still eating funny and we are hoping it's just to do with the heat?
God thought the towel I had laid on the floor for the girls to get changed on (after getting out of the pool)

Sunday was a lazy day with a lay in in the morning some pool time and not a lot else! I did spend most of the day watching the news. We have gone over London Bridge numerous times as the hotel we stay at is just near the bridge.

That's London Bridge behind Sophie

This pretty pub is next to where they crashed the van!

A Big Storm

Friday started quite with a warm sunny day and a swim in the pool (heating now working) then about lunchtime it started to darken up...by 1 o'clock the thunder was a rumbling by 1:30 wooooosh! the storm broke. We were just in time with getting in the cushions and covering the pool. Spent the afternoon playing with my two new dolls and sorting through the others for this blog thing I have started on.
Cats not overly impressed with the rain but it did not last long and soon the sun was back out and it was feeling very muggy!
A few pictures of my new dolls

He has a gold Ipad and she has a rose pink Iphone how cool is THAT!
As always no photo shoot would be complete without a little help

My Me Day

Thursday is 'me' day and mum has the girls for the day. This then gives me time to play, or do nothing if that's how I feel.
First I checked the pool to see how it was warming up, oops the heater is not working? Turns out I had switched the pump to timer instead of on. Idiot!!! So once it was all turned ON the pool continued to heat up. The day was pretty warm and I could not settle ended up watering the garden, washing up and starting a 'Diorama Dolls' Blog...I think this is going to take some time as I can never just go with the easy, always go with the loooong and complicated!
I love roses I have a lot of roses both in the back and front garden here are a few close ups

I also love Poppies

Amy exhibited a talent I did not know she had, something she learned when she was at school apparently

She did manage to spin it on her finger but I missed it

A Little shopping

I tried to post this yesterday but computer was playing up???
Tuesday we all went out for lunch (Chinese) then we did a little shopping, yes it was only a little as dad was with use and we need to look after him because of his heart and 'stuff'.
Went to The Range to look for a water feature found what we want now I just need to save up for it LOL. Then it was on to my favourite store Home Sense part of the TK Maxx chain (like TJ Maxx or Marshalls) . Lots of inexpensive goodies, I have never yet got out of this store without buying something.... today was no exception
Always wanted a couple of these lights for the garden

I love Flamingo's and no I do NOT need yet more cushions

This one was reduced so I had to have it (my mum said so)

Like I said I love Flamingo's

I want to do some work in the evening in front of the TV an thought this bag would be good for this. Oh, yes I brought these dolls half price

I brought a few new plants in Homebase and The Range as well.
Talking of plants want to see my garden?

and the cats....
Monday night it was bucketing with rain and we had managed to get all but one cat in. Ashley is not much of a rain cat so I was a little worried when she would not come in, then I spotted her

Tuesday morning before we went out and the weather was improving, warm enough for Tilly

I have a Policeman!

Life has been pretty manic over the weekend.
Saturday was VERY hot and humid, mum and dad were here for the day along with my friends two boys who were staying the weekend so she and her partner could go away for the night. I used to take the boys to school each day with Amy but once they moved we no longer see them so much. Amy misses them big time (as do I) so it's nice to have them for the weekend. Anyway as soon as they arrived it was pool time. The pool was still pretty empty of water but what do kids care LOL. After a few minutes one of the boys calls me over he has found a bump under the pool, so in I go think the water would be freezing it was by now just below my knees. YEP! a bump...then another! Should we ignore them and chance it or empty the pool? After some discussion we decided to empty the pool and not chance it. This took until the evening to do!!! Once we had opened the two end plugs the water started to gush out slowly making it's way around the garden and causing mini rivers and floods to pop up all around the garden. Later when the water had stopped running from the bung holes the kids took buckets into the pool and water was whooshed around the garden with great joy and glee.
Once we felt enough water had been removed they all held the side up and I went under and located the lumps, easier said than done I can tell you, but I found them and removed them. Very shape stones that would have most certainly have damaged the pool in the end. THEN we started to re- fill the pool again.
BBQ for dinner but this would not light properly? So after a while I decided to cook indoors but we still all ate in the garden.
Then once my parents had gone home and all the washing up (LOADS of washing up) exhausted everyone went to bed.
Sunday the forecast was for rain but when we got up it was bright and sunny so we breakfasted in the garden with a whole pile of American pancakes. The humidity was way up so much of the day the kids were in the pool giving me a little time to read the papers. By now I was starting to get withdrawal symptoms from not being on the computer but did not want to go indoors and leave the kids in the pool unsupervised. OK, maybe that was a little daft as they are not babies the boys are 13 and 15. LOL
The cats have had spurts of lethargy and lunacy I think the heat was getting to them all. Was getting worried about Tilly as she stopped eating and lethargic but she is fine now so putting it down to her age (17) and the heat.

Oh, and on Saturday the Police doll mum made me order arrived and he is even more detailed than I thought (still having a bit of an issue with the use of Wayne Rooney's head....he's a footballer not a cop????)
So hot my brain had fried so no pictures of the weekend but here are a few of my new guy, photo shoot did not go quite as I wanted but in this house you expect the un-expected!
Got $10 off as the box had a crinkle
Over 40 pieces in this set!
I would like to thank Jordan and Perri for their 'help' today!!!!
