Miami Holiday... Part Four

We always like to do something different this time it was a Helicopter ride

Miami Holiday....Part Three

We had a car as part of our holiday package and decided on a three day trip to Key West. We have visited it a few times before and if you have never been to the Keys.... Why??? It's an amazing place and the drive over the seven Mile Bridge is...well...WOW!
Never sure how Sophie will get on (travel sickness) we always plan a few stops along the way.
The first is once we have left Miami, just a Target where we can get a drink and to stretch our legs out of the sun. Did I mention that Miami was in the throws of a heat wave and between 90 and 100 most days!!!! HOT even for Miami.
Anyway Sophie was fine and our second stop was at Whale Harbour,great views and wonderful food. You can also charter a boat from here.

 We found this hotel last year it's called The Inn at Key West, it's on the right as you drive on to the Island. 

 Chickens and Roosters run free all over the Island

 The pool is beautiful

 The sunsets in Key West are some of the most beautiful in the world

 The Rooster joined us for breakfast

 After breakfast we took a taxi (pink) to Duval St (shops)

 Still VERY hot so a stop at the Hard Rock Cafe was required.

 We found a new area to explore

 Another food stop this time the most YUMMY crab-cakes

 This was where the BIIIIG boats are moored. 

 The view from our room (pool view) can you see the blue through the trees? LOL

 The room was lovely (not so good now though)

 Before we left one last swim

Driving back to Miami (I almost typed driving 'home' but then I guess Miami is a bit like home)

 Lunch again at Whale Harbor

  

 Miami here we come.
