It's Rainy It's Poring I Wish I Was Snoring!

Wednesday was yet another rainy day *sigh* why was summer so short and hot? It's about time the weather gods got it together and gave us some warm and comfortable weather, I'm not asking much just a few days/weeks with NICE weather not so wet it floods or hot you pass out getting from your car to the front door! Oh, and while I'm on a roll what is it with BUGS? Mosquito's What are they for? (apart from biting my legs and keeping me awake itching at night) I might have found a way to stop the itching as bite cream was not working I tried a cool pad and after a few minutes the itching stopped. So now I don't have to sleep with my legs hanging out awaiting bite! So Wednesday was wet and I worked on my doors (diorama). The my new printer scanner arrived so now I can sort through all my old photo's and save the good ones. Thursday I had to get up early (before 9am) as Amy had the orthodontist, a few tweaks to her brace so now she can only eat mush! Have you ever tried mushing a bacon sandwich...it's quite....interesting! In the afternoon I met up with my friend at the hospital for another check on her and the baby, did I explain she had a high risk pregnancy? One day I will remember to ask if it's OK to give more details on this but I keep forgetting! Anyway what I can say is so far so good and mother and little pink banana are doing well. Then it was to my mum's for dinner and home to watch a program about firefighters and Grenfell Tower. (the 24 floor tower block that burnt down killing over 80 people) So that was my 'me' day with not a lot of 'me' time. Friday the rain had the morning off and the girls managed a swim in the pool. By the afternoon normal service had resumed and the rain was back. I did get a while in the doll room to work on my penthouse. A delivery of Foam-core boards arrived so I now need to find my tiles and start on the exterior walls of the Shopping Mall AND the hotel. Also still working on those dreaded DOORS! Not quite so fearful now as I have a *sort of* template worked out. This is the re-vamped single hotel room just the TV shelf to go in and a chair. A few shots of the penthouse almost finished just a couple of things to add and a clean up Cleaners are already hard at work I'm very pleased with my door I will be showing the penthouse in more detail in a DIORAMA post hopefully next week. And just to round off my post CATS Ike and Godfrey God dropped one...so Ike covered his nose Jordan being 'helpful'....NOT!

Birthday Blues

As expected the last few days have been strange and I have not been up to wanting to post. Now I'm more 'me' again so here we go. My last post was the day before my birthday the day my sweet Tilly died. Mum and dad had a table booked for dinner so we still went even though things were a little muted. Chinese in my favourite restaurant. 
Sunday was my birthday and we all made an effort to smile and talk Tilly. Coming downstairs with all the cats around my feet and no Tilly trying to climb my leg was hard. Eating breakfast with her not sitting on Amy's tray was hard, that was how the day went. I spent a lot of my day working on my penthouse in my doll room. Mum and Sophie cooked dinner 'Duck A La Orange' with birthday cake for desert. We watch a Eddie Murphy film Beverly Hills Cop II. It was very 80's and funny just what we needed. 
Monday was another rainy day and again I spent a lot of time with my penthouse. 
Tuesday we berried Tilly I could not bury her on my birthday and Monday dad was playing golf so Tuesday it had to be. My friend and her two boys also came over the older one helping dad dig the hole. It was a nice funeral with cake rapped in tissue so Tilly did get a piece of my cake, I read the Rainbow Bridge poem and Amy put flowers on her grave. Eight people attended her funeral more than some humans get. Tuesday was also my parents 63rd Yes 63rd wedding anniversary so the girls and I went to their house for dinner (steak Diane) and more birthday cake!

Maje, I love her outfit and the accessories are wonderful BUT although the boots are great I think she would look better with shoes. I think the boots look a little like she is wearing ankle socks which is not a good look and does not work with her dress. 

 

River is in urgent need of a hair wash as at the moment it's as stiff as a poker!She also has great shoes but they can't be seen with the long trousers...maybe I should swap them with Maje's boots?

Goodbye Tilly

My Tilly died today, we only had you for 16 months and you was more way more than the cuddle cat I had always wanted. You touched so many hearts I was so hoping you would stay just one more day so you could share my birthday cake (Tilly LOVED cake most likely why she had no teeth) and cheese loved cheese. You was seventeen so as they say a good age. I think we made your time with us happy and comfortable it's so strange not having you up on my shoulder , I turn around and there is no little girl sitting on the step waiting for me to finish so you can be picked up. Your little purple stool in my kitchen is empty. Tilly you loved that stool as you could sit there and watch me in the study, or watch dinner being made. You could sit on your stool while we ate dinner and catch the breeze on a warm evening. Tilly you was adored by all who met you, you loved everyone even children who most cats would run a mile from Tilly you was happy to be picked up and cuddled. Even today as you struggled to breath you wanted to be on my shoulder. When the vet took you to put in the cannula you wanted to be on the vets shoulder. When the vet came back she said it was the first time she had put in a cannula while the cat was on the nurses shoulder....that's my Tilly! Mummy love's you my sweet girl, go now over the rainbow bridge and spend happy times with your old lady and Sammy LOVE YOU xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Babies, Tilly And My Doll Room

Well! Wednesday was interesting. went with friend for her twenty week scan, this is the one when they check for abnormalities and can sex the baby. I was with her last week when she had a 3D scan and so we already knew the sex but was good to have it confirmed. The good thing (for me) was the stenographer was training someone so as she pointed out all the things she was looking for to him I got to see too! My friend for the most part was looking forward at another screen so she on the most part got to look at lots of blobs and funky shapes. The good news is all is well with the baby, not so good is my friend has a few issues and might well need a cesarean. At the moment it is looking like I might be her birthing partner (just hope the screen is nice and big) LOL Afterwards, a look at baby goodies in Home Sense, sadly not a lot on this occasion. Then for me home to check on Tilly. She is still very poorly at this time and had eaten nothing all day. Spent the afternoon back when she first came to me carrying her around with me (even to the toilet). After dinner and another pill (for Tilly not me) she did have a few mouthful's of supper.

Thursday my 'me' day and mum collected the girls about 9:30 leaving me to watch Tilly and make doors (Doll sized). Tesco arrived soon after and I had ordered some cooked Chicken pieces. Once I had put all the shopping away I opened the packet with Tilly looking on showing just a hint of interest. By the time I had cut the Chicken into tiny pieces (Tilly has no teeth) she was next to me looking very interested...she ate the lot! So an hour later another small portion and this time she is mewing for it! So looks like the antibiotics are working, just have to hope for no more fits! 
I want to do some work in my doll room but a little worried at leaving her but then again I leave her at night when I go to bed so maybe she will be OK? I did think about taking her up to bed with me but she would want to be on my bed and if she had another fit she might full on the floor and hurt herself so she sleeps on her rug on the floor in the kitchen where she is safe. 
Still talking cats I HAVE NO IDEA what is going on with my boys (Ike, Perri but mostly Jordan) they are all acting like complete nutters racing through the house and garden, and every time my heart leaps thinking Tilly is having another fit.

A nice box has just arrived with three dolls Poppy, Agnes and Giselle. Plus the room set thing that you make.

Dolls are lovely and I thought as I had a little me time left I would look at making the room set this I thought was a two room thing but now find you have to chose what room you want to make...not very clear when item was offered! 

 

So then I find some of the card pieces are bent and a little crumpled (hope it wont show when made up). Next I look for the instructions? No instructions so after about half an hour looking around on the W club forum I find a note about a video that has not as yet been uploaded so NO instructions!!!! I've now put it all away and I hope that IT get around to releasing the video some time soon? Also hoping the thing does not get more damaged while I wait.........

Not Very Happy

Not been around for the last few days, and as it's hot plus I need to watch Tilly this will be a quick one. So Saturday weather was chilly and raining, why is the weather always bad at the weekend? parents came for the day and mum was trying to garden in and out of the rain... gave up! I'm trying the make fancy (for me double doors for my penthouse hotel room that I'm re-doing. Sunday weather was a little better and my friend came for the day with her three boys. They all played in the pool then got out just before lunch. Her youngest boy said he was feeling ill...toilet? no Food...No? Appendicitis....Maybe? So off to hospital with him my friend went. A few hours later they return. Had seen triage and told to wait. Two children had been waiting over two HOURS both with broken arms!!!! She asked how long the wait and was told five hours!!! So they left as he was feeling better anyway. They all stayed for dinner...amazing how you can turn a meal for three into a meal for seven 😼 Then just as try were leaving Tilly (cat) had a fit thing???? I've never seen anything like it, not like a waving arms and legs thing but more a bouncing around thing? Quiet frightening to witness and I moved her out from under the chair so she did not hurt herself and this seemed to stop the fit.After a while she was fine, no vets open on a Sunday evening so I had to wait until the following morning to take her. Vet checked her over and apart from her old age (17) and her having lost a little weight (we have a lot of trouble making her eat anything other than toffee cake and cheese?) she looked fine. Hoping this was just a one off .... maybe it was a bug bit or sting we went home? The rest of Monday was taken up with fixing the heater in the pool and housework! Tuesday and I was hoping to get back to my doors and building stuff. Just after breakfast Tilly was asleep on her little stool when she had another fit!This time I was straight onto the vet and was at the vets within minutes. This time bloods were taken (£90) and by lunchtime the vet had phoned with results. They had checked her over and no lumps found, heart hard to check as she does not stop purring but all looked OK. Only issue a high with blood count. Now this might just be from a infection so she is on a weeks course of Antibiotics. If they do not work then.......well it can only be a tumour and I'm guessing it's in her brain?

Baby...Baby

Got the music rocking again another good day (so far). The end of my 'day off' yesterday did not go as expected, but in good way. Girls went to my parents for the day so I could get some 'me' time. Phone was ringing a few times but I figured if it was important they would leave a message so let it ring out (no messages). Then I went to my parents for dinner and to collect girls. While awaiting dinner I thought I would check in on my pregnant friend (her ex has just become her ex if get me?) Anyway turns out it was her that had been phoning and she had booked an appointment to have a 3D scan and see what sex the baby is she's 19 weeks. She wanted to let me know and see if I wanted to go with her? This was at just gone six pm and scan was booked for 8:20pm. Well, naturally I did want to, I've never seen a real scan let alone a 3D one (my girls are adopted). So along with her other kids we arrived at the clinic and after a few minutes we all pilled into the scan room. All I can say is WOW it's amazing waiting the baby on the monitor screwing up it's little fists and jiggling around. Amazing! When it was time to sex the baby I blurted it out before the sonographer. My old friends will know this is something I'm a bit good at anyway. Not the blurting out (although I have been known to do that in the past LOL) No, I only need to look at a pregnant woman to tell what sex the baby will be, I'm still on a 100% correct.... not that I'm boasting or anything He He. So it was as she wanted and we went back to her place with her floating on air. I'm so very happy for her, next week is the 20 week scan at the hospital, this is to check for abnormalities etc THEN we are going shopping! 
I do have a copy of the pictures but forgot to ask if I could post them and she's out now so will post them tomorrow if she does not mind. 
So back in my little world I cave started to re-build the penthouse in my hotel that became water damaged when a ball got stuck in the top of the drainpipe and walls got a little wet!
