Miami Holiday

Children with Downs are very bad with change... so the powers that be say? The girls love Miami... I love Miami... my mum loves Miami. So Miami is our holiday destination.
When I worked we went two or three times a year... on business you understand.
Now it involves a lot of going without though-ought the year plus, helped with Tesco Air-miles and Virgin Frequent Flyer discount.
Managed to brake my hand a few days before we left so having struggled to shorten my trousers, then finding they we too short it was left to mum to let then down again... well it gave her something to do before before bed the night before we left (stayed at the Premier Inn near the airport)
Flight was boring food inedible just as always. Virgin had changed the flight times so instead of landing at 3:30 pm we did not land until 5:30 pm. with a five hour time difference by the time we had got through customs, collected bags and got a taxi to hotel it was pretty late.
As always we stayed at the same hotel in Sunny Isles. It's on the beach has a swimming pool and good restaurant. While the rooms are clean(ish) the maids do let the hotel down and the room is never quite clean enough. Having asked the next morning for the floor to be washed we resorted to buying surface wipes and giving everything a once over. THEN we could relax knowing the only dirt around was our own LOL.

As we have been frequenting the same hotel for many years we are upgraded, plus we also get a Virgin upgrade so our double upgrade gives us a see view and a kitchen.

This was a new one... the pool cordoned off with sun loungers? It turns out that the hotel gets a lot of 'groups' at the weekend and some it appears can't read the notice that says NO SWIMMING AFTER 9pm

Amy loved her Banana pancakes, Extra fancy thanks to Jerry the waiter.

Olita State Park is wonderful and another must go place
