DOLLS!!!

First a dad update... so far so good although when he had his blood test yesterday his blood was like WATER! So he is off the warfrin for two days and then another test! Good news he is not so likely to have a stroke bad news he could bleed to death if he bumps or cuts himself!!!!
Started the sloooooow job of redressing my dolls and I have a few new dolls too!!!!!

These dolls are a mix of re boded dolls and new dolls all from my good buddy Omar!

These two ladies I found when I was looking through my vehicles

Some Homme redressing Richard (pink) and Brody (Blue) are re painted by the amazing Dawn OSS  LINK No idea who did the face up on Dylan (yellow)

Two more redressed dolls

These outfits I got from Mary in NY but this is my first chance to photograph them!

And this is what you get when you try to take pic's in the garden....

and finally the babies first time in the garden.... with God keeping them in line! It's Annie and Gez you can see as Izzy is a bit chicken! LOL

All the cold and rain have played havoc with my garden!

First dad... as you know he is now home and so far so good. We went to the village pub for Sunday dinner and it was soooo nice to all be together again! It's hard to think it is only a week since 'the big one'!!!!
These pictures are from last week but I never had time to post them

Gez no longer fits

She sure has growed!

And the babies...

Annie is at the front and Izzy is behind in the red sweater (just after her operation)

They have done a bit of growing too

Gez still likes to help me sort out my dolls!

And these guys are waiting to be dressed

These are my Priors dolls that are not workers as they have already returned to the doll room.

Daddy's Home

We thought he would still have to wait a few more days but they got his meds at the correct level so as long as he does as he is told he could come home. We stopped of on the way home for a late lunch/early dinner. I was a little worried about him walking over the bridge as the nurses instructions were still ringing in our ears. We had a lovely time... just having dad there was wonderful I think it is only the skill of the doctors at Harefield hospital that he is still with us. He is not out of the woods yet as this blood clot could still brake up but if it did hopefully the Warfarin will do it's job? On an amusing note dad can't walk up and down stairs more than necessary so mum said he will have to use a bucket if he needs to toilet or she will have to drive him round to me as I have a down stairs toilet!LOL
On other things the water is now back on and I still have done nothing about my broken tooth.... I did get some temporary stuff from the Chemist but not had time to use it yet... maybe today? Godfrey seems fine but I think I might still get him checked out at the vets next week, I'm also going to ask about the powdered charcoal I was recommended to try!
I'm hoping to get a nice loooooong bath today and some dolly play time (got a few new goodies I've not had time for as yet)

Dad and other stuff....>>>>

So insted of dad coming home now his stents are fitted the doctors find a blood clot in his heart so he will be in for a while yet!
Talk about it never rains but it pours! Well SNOWS anyway!!!!
Dad is OK if not a little bored with being stuck in hospital. He does have my iPad though so he can watch the cycle racing and golf plus play a couple of games Oh, and read the news!
Well, yesterday I managed to brake a tooth and Godfrey has an abscess on his chin most like from playing with the kittens? We did buy a new bigger cat/dog box last week that you can fit wheels on as he is so big the other cat box falls apart when you try to pick him up in it! Anyway we have the box but you have to buy the wheels separately and the store did not sell them so they needed to be brought on line... I have them now but still need to fit them!
Today his face looked a lot better so I might get away with out a visit to the vets? I will keep a eye on it and see how things go?
As to my tooth I brought some stuff you can use as a temporary fix and I'll get it sorted next week once dad is home!
This morning a neighbour knocked and asked if my water pressure was low... I had not noticed but it was! So later when I went to collect my mum the roads are flooded.... dang water main had burst! So now we are home and we have no water!!!!
LIFE!!!!!

My dad

Posted by Susannah on April 1, 2013 at 7:00 PM Comments comments (0)
My dad had a major heart attack last night
We had such a lovely family day what a way for it to end! Mum and dad can round in the morning and we had Cornish Pasty's (made by mum who was brought up in Cornwall) and scones (made by me) with Cornish clotted cream and jam. Dad watched a cycle race on TV (he raced once in the tour of Britain came 28th) Then later he spent an hour in my attic where he is setting up his model railway. He was not allowed up there on his own so Sophie was with him, meanwhile Amy watched kids TV and I gave mum an iPad lesson (it's like the blind leading the blind) LOL Then we watched or favorite family program Ashley Bango's Street Crew (a dance show) after that mum and dad went home!
The girls and I had just got ready for bed when mum phoned to say dad was feeling poorly and she had given him his GS spray, I told her to phone an ambulance and we were on our way! Mayhem ensued as we rushed to get dressed and pack a few things for the girls to do!
When we arrived at my parents home a Paramedic was already there and he gave dad air and Morphine. I watch waaaay to many medical programs and I knew it was bad... very bad!
The ambulance took OVER AN HOUR to arrive!!!!! Two weeks ago the government cut our ambulances down by half??????????  I guess this is one way of helping the economy by killing off the elderly and well those that need urgent care? Cutting down on medical and benefit payments!!!
Anyway they rushed him in on blues and twos to a specialist heat hospital (local hospital's with heart dept's are only open due in the week!?!?! say whaaaat????)I had to go home quickly and print out a map. We don't have satnav... I wonder if they have an app??? Will have to look for that?
So having got lost a couple of times in the dark as some of the way it was just tiny lanes with no lights (or signposts) When we arrived dad was already out of surgery and he had two stents put in. He now feels a lot better and we arrived home about 1.30am.
Today we will be visiting him as we will for the next few day until he can come home... then soon he should be back to his old grumpy self!
Oh, one more thing... I love my daddy very, very much!

Annibelle is such a good little girl

Izzabelle and Gezabelle maybe not so much?

Godfrey has seen it all before!

The foot in the mouth thing might be pushing your luck though?

Annibelle is lucky she is just out of reach

But still they go on....

Eventually Izzy has had enough

Gez wonders if God is up for some fun?

Stuff...

Posted by Susannah on March 14, 2013 at 12:10 PM Comments comments (0)
First of I want to buy articulated bodies I need bodies for these heads

Please e.mail me suwi@live.co.uk
as you may have noticed Gezabelle (mum calls her 'cowbell' as she looks like a cow and is a little moo) helped me too

Now onto other stuff....
First off dad had his echocardiogram today but will have to wait for the results? What is it with these people, I guess it's one way to reduce the population!
Annibelle had her operation this week so no kittens for her she has coped a lot better than Gez with the red sweater and the nurse at the vets said she was so good and a real little sweetie (not like Gez) LOL.

Poor Izabelle has come into season AGAIN just not right as she is just so little! She is driving us all nuts with her constant yowling but none so much as God who has taken a dislike to having her bum in his face all the time! Especially as he no longer has the necessary LOL.
Oh, and Amy has joined Gez in the little Moo department, I think she is playing up because of all the 'stuff' that's been going on the last couple of weeks?

Next Batch Of Dolls

Posted by Susannah on March 9, 2013 at 10:00 AM Comments comments (0)
I've now finished with photographing female Mattel dolls and I'm ready to start on the men! Going through my females I managed to remove the grande total of ONE doll!  As I said before I have sorted my dolls into groups ...

Blondes

Red Heads

Coloured Hair

Teenagers
Today is Saturday and Sophie is out with her boyfriend while Amy is dancing away in her bedroom giving my some 'me' time. Tomorrow is Mothers Day in UK I was hoping to go out but let it to late and everywhere is booked up! So I'll be cooking dinner just the same as any other day! We are having lamb in a redcurrant sauce and I'm hoping to get time to make scones for desert with Cornish clotted cream and home made raspberry jam.
But for now I'm going to play with my Ken's! Oh, and my Barbie total is 158 that's my play dolls not the boxed or cabinet display dolls.
Finally dad is still doing fine.... so far so good!

Dad!

Posted by Susannah on March 6, 2013 at 6:00 AM Comments comments (0)
OK, so as most of you know my dad had a heart attack last week... well actually he had three and he just never knew he had??? The first was when he fell off the ladder the other week....was it the heart attack that made him fall or the fall that gave him the heart attack... I guess we will never know for sure?  Anyway on Sunday he had another one and this time I was with him and called an ambulance. This was at 1. 30 in the afternoon. At 9.00 I had to leave as the girls needed to go home. Oh, yes as we went to get some dinner from the restaurant about 6.30 the police arrived in A&E I was a little miffed as I thought I might miss something! LOL So anyway we went to the restaurant and sat down to eat.... a couple of minutes later the lady who had served our dinner keeled over and 13 yes 13 doctors later was rushed of to A&E??? Turns out she has reflux (so does Amy) and she was choking! When we got back to dad yet another doctor was with him. Still more test were done and then he was moved to a 'holding' ward. This was a bit of a shock as we thought he was going home? Still we did not know what was going on? Anyway we left at 9.00 having been told dad would be home later that night. Mum phoned me a 11.30 they were keeping him in but he would be home in the morning. So in the morning mum went back and I had to visit a secondary school with Amy. Nice school and I think this will be where I send her. Especially as it's has a really good reputation and only 1 in 10 who apply get in. It's not a special needs school but as Amy has special needs she gets priority so should have no problem getting in. So dad was supposed to be coming home but then the doctor decides to keep him in for four days and he will need to go to another hospital for another scan as theirs was broken???? Oh, I forgot to tell you... your love this! They had no pillows on the ward so the nurse stuffed a blanket in a pillow case!!!! No I do not live in a third world country I live in ENGLAND! I gotta say I don't get why people want to live here this country has soooo many problems??? Well, that aside I just was not happy with the hospital but the nurses seemed nice even if the doctors did not know there asses from their elbows! On Tuesday they sent dad home with a ton of medications and we have to wait for more scans and an operation. While dad was happy mum and I are very apprehensive ... his heart has not been fixed so he's a walking time bomb! We all just need to change our ways and keep dad calm and our fingers crossed. As we bicker ALL the time this is going to be FUN FUN FUN! LOL Today mum has gone to golf and dad is with me (we wont let him be on his own) Sophie does not go to collage on Wednesday so she is home too. It's not even lunch time and he is already bored. His train stuff is mostly in the loft but i said I will take him out next week so he can have a little drive out and a look around the shop. He will not be able to drive until AFTER his operation. Nor can he mow lawns, put up shelves, play golf, vacuum, sort out sheds, put up fences, build anything, wash cars.... and a whole lot more! He can't even get the newspaper as it's very hilly around here!

I have been keeping my head straight  continuing on with cataloging my dolls.
The Brunettes

And a few just because pictures of my little helpers....

They are growing sooooo fast!

Yes, the grass needs cutting!....oh, daaaaad!

Spring Clean

Posted by Susannah on March 2, 2013 at 11:15 AM Comments comments (0)
I just got right to the end of writing all this and then clicked the wrong button and deleted it ALL!!!!
So I will start again *sigh*
I decided it was time the spring clean my doll room. If you have seen my photo's of my doll room you would know that's a BIG job! But when I decided it was time the start up on my story and looked at my older rooms so were already in need of a clean and repair. First I needed to get my dolls in order. I rounded them all up onto one shelf (and a few more) That don't sound to bad right? Well let me add at this time the shelf is 6 foot x 8 foot! Now your getting it! LOL
Next I had to sort the dolls into groups...
Mattel...
Men
Children
Babies
Toddlers
Barbie... Now Barbie had to be re grouped into...
Asian Doll
Black  Doll
Black Hair
Blonde Hair
Brunette Hair
Red Hair
Other Colour Hair
Integrity Toys
Fashion Royalty
Homme
Nu Face
Dynamite
Poppy
Others IT, Lynn, Misaki etc)
Other Dolls
Male
Female
Next how do I catalogue them all?
Well I give them all a name and tag them then I photograph them (like a passport picture)

Now I've started ....two days and this is where I'm at
Asian Dolls

Black Dolls

Black Haired Dolls

I love the ones with funky hair.
So that's as far as I have got the 'worker' dolls in a uniform are retured to the doll room the others are striped off ready for re-dressing.

Sophie and A&E

Last night was a bummer... or was it this morning? Sophie woke me at 1am being sick. She was in a LOT of pain and we ended up in hospital! Home now and she is drugged up but OK! A&E is such a fun place in the middle of the night!

Life in the mad house

Posted by Susannah on February 16, 2013 at 11:10 AM Comments comments (0)
Snow has gone (for now) I took this picture as the snow melted a snow table cloth... magic?

Dad's back is now all better but I'm still waiting for my props for the centre display area in my doll room. He has been round most days but wants to play in the loft with his trains! MEN!!! (No, I don't mind really)
Sophie got a lovely card and gift from her boyfriend... she is in loooove! LOL Michael took her out last Saturday with his mum and he seems nice, we will see?
Sophie will be 18 in May and I have been trying to think what to get her.... other than a blue Maine Coon kitten? She did see a biker jacket the other day and I'm decorating her room. Maybe that's enough?
Amy has been a bit BIG BIT of a toad this week telling lies and not little white ones BIG ones the sort that could get others in a LOT of trouble.... not sure what to do other than try and explain that lies are WRONG?
Now the weather is a little better the kittens are starting to take an interest in the outside world so I need to be extra careful when going into the garden! The house is full of little monsters!!!! Now at only 4 1/2 months old Izabelle has started to chirrup her way around the house and sticking her butt in poor God's face! He is so not amused and let her know in no uncertain terms! I intended to get the kittens 'done' after Christmas but with all the snow I put it off..... just to long though! Gez is booked in for next week with Annie the following week and then Izzy if she has sorted herself out by then?
Today there are snow flurry's again but I don't think it will come to anything?
This is half term week so both girls are home, typical that Sophie has to be ill!  We have had a pretty lazy week anyhows Tuesday we went to IKEA to get my wardrobe doors and a couple of chairs for the study but they were out of stock one chair and the doors! So we will have to go back .... so not amused! It's not like they are close to us either and they want £30 ($45)  to deliver it costs that to ship stuff from AMERICA?!?!
Wednesday we booked our vacation 16 days in MIAMI...YES!
Got a few nice fashions for my dolls this week
From Gwen
and from Mary

It's snowing AGAIN!!!!

First I have to send a BIG thank you to everyone who sent get well wishes to my stupid dad! He is a lot better now and back to getting on my nerves up in my loft (building his model railway).
We have had yet more snow this week ...when is it going to END?????

A few just because pictures....

Godfrey with Annabelle
Another busy week with the new loft hatch and a proper lader now installed. Almost finished in the study which at the moment along with the dining room is full of doll room stuff! Now dad's better I'm hoping he will cut the wood I need to suport the centre shelving and then I can move all my 'stuff' back again.
I'm almost ready to start with my doll story  THE PRIORS and I do now have episodes 1-92 cleaned up and I hope with working links
LINK TO THE PRIORS please let me know if any of the links are not working.
Sophie is soon to have her room re-decorated (yes, I know I never finish) and she moved out all her dolls. Most went to Amy but these two will stay with me
